Jude Bellingham wins the Golden Boy award 2023
Today the Englishman Jude Bellingham received the Golden Boy award as the best young player in the world 2023. He received the award ahead of Bayern Munich's midfielder Jamal Musiala and Barcelona's super talent Lamine Yamal came in third place. As reported by ESPN, his win of the award was by a record margin, where the jury gave him 485 points from a possible 500 points.
Bellingham is the third Englishman to win the award, Raheem Sterling (now playing in Chelsea) won the award in 2014 and in 2004, the second time the award was handed out, Wayne Rooney was the winner.
Before the season started it looked like it was going to be a tight race between Bellingham and Musiala for the award, but with Bellingham's fantastic start of the season in his new club Real Madrid there was no doubt about who would become the winner. Big congratulations to Jude Bellingham, with zero doubts a worthy winner!
