Erling Braut Haaland breaks more Champion League records
Erling Braut Haaland, Golden Boy award winner of 2020, is really making the jury know they made the right choice back in 2020. Manchester City crushed RB Leipzig in the round of 16 in UEFA Champions League yesterday with 7-0, making the aggregated score 8-1 after the 1-1 draw in the first game, and Haaland scored five(!) of City's goals.
Before the first half had ended he had already scored a hat-trick, the first goal on penalty. Immediately in the second half he scored another two and has now scored 10 goals in Champions League this season, and 32 goals overall. By doing this he broke yet another record, by being the quickest player reaching 30 scored goals in the tournament. He only needed 25 matches to do so.
His five goals in one match in UCL is also a performance only matched Lionel Messi for Barcelona in 2012 and Luiz Adriano for Shaktar Donetsk in 2014.
